Privacy Policy
Meridian Community College (MCC) is committed to protecting the privacy of all constituents. This policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, and sharing of information gathered through MCC’s website meridiancc.edu.
Information We Collect
MCC may collect personal and technical data from users via:
-
Online forms (e.g., admissions, contact, recruitment, service requests)
-
Site analytics tools
-
Embedded third-party services (e.g., chat, call tracking, accessibility tools)
Forms
Some forms on our site are hosted by Formsite.com, an external service provider. These may request your name, email, phone number,
academic interests, or other details. Information collected is used solely for the
purpose described on each form and is handled in compliance with MCC's internal data
handling practices and Formsite’s privacy policies.
Online payments are handled through a secure, authenticated third-party payment system;
payment information is processed by that provider, not stored on MCC's website

Enhance accessibility and user experience
By using our website, you consent to the placement of cookies unless you disable them in your browser.
MCC does not collect directly identifying information (such as name or address) through cookies. Some cookies and similar technologies do recognize a browser or device across visits to support analytics, content personalization, and advertising — for example, showing program-relevant content to a visitor who arrived from a specific ad. Third-party tools integrated into our site may collect individual-level data, including:
-
Google Analytics / Tag Manager / AdWords – site behavior, marketing performance, audience trends
-
Getsitecontrol – popups and user engagement banners
-
CallRail – call tracking and analytics for phone number engagement
- Curator.io – displays MCC social media content and links
- Modern Campus (Personalization) – analyzes site traffic and visit patterns, including pages viewed, referral source, approximate location, and whether a visitor is new or returning. This information is used to understand overall site usage and is not used to identify individual visitors or to build named contact profiles.
-
Tawk.to – live chat service. Our website offers live chat through Tawk.to. Before starting a chat, visitors are shown a notice that their messages are received by MCC through our chat provider to answer their questions. Please do not share sensitive information — such as Social Security numbers, full student ID numbers, or financial or medical details — through live chat. For account-specific questions, contact the college directly at: 601.483.8241

Children's Privacy
Meridian Community College offers programs for children under the age of 13, including College for Kids. Registration for these programs is completed online by a parent or legal guardian, not by the child. During registration, MCC collects information about the child — such as name, date of birth, age, school, and information the parent provides regarding the child's needs — along with the parent or guardian's contact and emergency-contact information.
This information is used only to administer the program, to communicate with the parent or guardian, and to provide for participants' safety and care. MCC does not require a child to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate, does not sell this information, and shares it only with service providers that help operate the program.
By completing and signing the registration form, the parent or guardian consents to MCC's collection and use of this information. A parent or guardian may review the information collected about their child, request that it be corrected or deleted, or decline its further use by contacting webmaster@meridiancc.edu or the College for Kids program office. MCC handles children's information consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
